It is time to start taking things seriously

I have always struggled to lose weight for many reasons. One I’m on the contraceptive pill and I think that plays a big part in it, two I just don’t enjoy cooking and experimenting with food and three my joints. It is difficult when you live at home with your family and they don’t want to eat what you’re eating which means you’re cooking two separate meals – I haven’t got time or money for that.

We recently booked a holiday to Bulgaria in September and I definitely want to shift some timber for this. I also came across a challenge with Cancer Research in September as well and I want to do it. Whilst I am writing this I’m watching the London Marathon and these people taking part are inspirational, it has really put a perspective that I can also take on a challenge.

Losing 3lbs this week has made me realise I can actually do this and I will lose weight this time. I say it all of the time but this time I am 100% serious.

Flabs or abs?

This morning I went to an Abs Blast Class and it was intense, so intense. Some of the movements were quite difficult, planking is not for me so maybe I will keep my flabs instead haha. This class is definitely something I want to keep going to and hopefully I will see some improvements, especially with my back.

I need to keep trying different thing to help with my Joint Hypermobility and to build up strength but I am remaining positive no matter what.

I love trying new things, yes it may hurt me but I also like to see the benefits 🙂

Slimming World

Well I finally bit the bullet and joined Slimming World online which is something I’ve put off for months. I decided to join on Tuesday although I have lost 6.5 inches in the last four weeks which is brilliant…that’s down to exercise.

My eating habits have gotten better however they could be improved so starting Slimming World may change my life, for the good that is. I have three stone to loose and this is how I’ll do it. If it takes a year, it takes a year but I will do this at my own pace and continue to exercise.

It’ll be an exciting change for me and I’ll learn how to cook which is one thing I certainly cannot do!

Let the Slimming World journey begin 🙂

Bootcamp has finished

For the past four weeks I have attended a fitness bootcamp which I thought would be a good idea. It was, however my joints have really suffered whilst taking part. The next morning is never fun either, the walking around limping, the groans and the tiredness is something I can’t deal with. Yay for Joint Hypermobility Syndrome.

I am pleased I finished it but right now, I feel really tired and exhausted but bring on Zumba on Friday evening! I am determined to keep it all up at the gym and I am also going to help a friend get fitter as well.

My blog is empty

Well, it’s been a long long time since I last posted on here. I get side tracked far too easily and forget what’s important to me, I’ve done it so many times. I am the same with drawing, oops.

What’s happened since September?

So much has happened, it has been a bit of a rollercoaster really and my 2016 has not had the best start so far and we are only two months in. Some will know, I lost my Gran in January which I still do not know how I feel about it. Parts of me think I am glad she is at rest because seeing her suffer when we could visit was unbearable and another part of me wished she could have had another year, seen improvements and could have gotten out of hospital.

Another loss for me, I lost a friend, not a close friend but someone I had the chance to get to know and someone that made me laugh. That was a weird feeling, knowing someone that had died. For me, it’s so surreal, one minute you’re organising something to see them and then the next they’re gone. It really hits home when someone passes. However, I am okay now, I have come to terms with what happened in January and now I have to keep looking forward.

BIG news, I finally have a new job. Nervous? Yes. Scared? Yes. This job is a step up for me, I am so sad I am leaving my current job. My bosses have been saints to me, couldn’t ask for better ones to be honest. Tomorrow marks the last week there, yep I am emotional about it but I have to look forward to getting into a bigger job and saving for a house. I will be a ‘Content Writer’ so it is a good job I have logged into this so I can start writing again.

The last post was about me finding a lump, well I have found another one, such a pain in the ass. Literally. It’ll only be a cyst but still something I could do without right now, the pain is horrible.

Oh, finally, I have joined a gym and I need to be three stone lighter by the end of the year. Yep, that is happening. Plus Race for Life – 10K…Let’s see how that goes.

Fitness progress

In my previous blog post I explained how I was losing weight and put weight back on due to my holiday. So now I thought about blogging my fitness progress a few days a week as well as other random bits and bobs.

Yesterday I started back to eating properly, logging what I eat and concentrating on the exercise I want to do. My plans do go out of the window though like they did today, oops.

There’s a fairly new magazine that has been released by the writers of Woman’s Own called Fit & Well. I came across this in Morrison’s and I had a read as soon as I got home and was instantly impressed. This magazine is fantastic, it includes recipes, healthy eating plans, exercises, exercise plans and it is only £1.99!! Perfect for what I am after as I never stick to anything.

Today I was supposed to go back to starting Charlotte Crosby’s 3 Minute Belly Blitz but I am still suffering with ligament damage in my ankle so I gave it a miss. Instead I decided to try the 30 day plans that are featured in the magazine. One of them involves planking which I have never done before so I was intrigued to see what the results will be. The second challenge involves walking up and down the stairs for 10 minutes and my word I sounded like Wheezy from Toy Story afterwards. The joys of being an asthmatic ey?!

Motivation is at it’s lowest point at the moment due to me being out of a routine for two weeks but it’ll come back and I cannot wait to start back again. What makes it better is my local store is going to try and stock Fit & Well so I am guaranteed a copy every month. I would love to write an article for them about my progress especially because I have several conditions, one being a joint condition. Something different and something that could hopefully inspire those similar to me to keep on trying!

Ending to a good and positive blog post, I have lost 2lbs 😀

I’m back

I have been away in Portugal for a week and decided to take some time out from using my Mac unless it was absolutely necessary. The holiday was brilliant, I even tried blue shark for the first time. It was a little odd to eat as I knew what it was but it did taste good! Albuferia is one lively place, we were approached by many people, the music was great, the atmosphere was constant, especially at night.

The only downside to my holiday was it being Half Board which meant I got a little greedy with food. As some of you will know I have been a bit of a health freak as I am desperate to lose 3 stone. I lost 8/9lbs before I went and put on 4lbs after my holiday so this week I’m back on track. I have been using Charlotte Crosby’s 3 Minute Belly Blitz, yes it is a killer but you do get great results. My fitness has improved so much however now I am not so sure as I have had two weeks off but we shall see!

I really need to keep My Fitness Pal up to date as well but today is the beginning and I am excited to see the results. I might post a few bits on here as it is something I really want to do.
